Default Re: Fish Finder Rec

Gerry is right. Get the combinations if you're using a 5 inch screen.

Also 5 inch screen is large for small boats like ours. A second 5 inch screen for Plotter/Gps takes up too much room

QUOTE=Gerry Zagorski;508287]You can't go wrong with Garmin... If you have a few extra dollars to spare and you're going to use the chart plotter a lot, I might opt for this one https://www.thegpsstore.com/Garmin-S...cer-P5421.aspx

I say this for 2 reasons....
- If your are going to be displaying in split screen, chart and fish finder at the same a 5 inch screen is going to be tough to read...
- The unit mentioned above also allows you to create your own charts. So if your fishing the same waters all the time as you run around you'll be creating your own detailed charts... That's a great way to mark structure.

Look like this unit has wifi too... That comes in handy for map updates as well as being able to make waypoints and routes on your phone and transfer them to your plotter and visa versa..

Might be overkill for a 12 foot boat but you get a lot more map functionality if that's important to you...[/QUOTE]
