I doubt that any party boat will leave the dock, if those seas are as forecast. Even if one does go out, be prepared for a serious roll.

East wind is the worst. I would stay in the bay with 7-8 footers.

That was Sunday's report and the wind was less that 5 knots with beach breaking wave. NOAA blew that one BIG TIME too. Boats don't care about coast rip currents.

Swell activity (Produced by distant hurricanes ) has a VERY LONG Period. 5-10 knot winds are nothing.

Been out in past like that. Huge swells 7-10 feet half a football field apart. Very fishable.

I was out yesterday, the forecast was light and variable out of the east with 4 to 5 foot waves at 15 seconds...I normally wouldn't run in 5 foot seas but when I saw they were 15 seconds apart, it didn't bother me... It was like a lake out there and you could have run anywhere you wanted, even a tin boat.

When the waves are spread apart like that, it's mainly swells that are hardly noticeable...

The one thing you do however need to watch is the conditions at the inlet. It could be flat calm out on the ocean but once those swells meet the inlet, especially during outgoing tide, those swells will stand up and make for a white knuckle ride. Not as much of an issue up by sandy hook because you don't have a narrow inlet to contend with....
