Question Thoughts on weather conditions

Do you think it would be worth going out tomorrow? I have a 22' center console and fish the RB to the SR.

Check the marine forecast. It's probably best to go out to the liquor store and let things calm down.

Winds are forecasted to be NW with 4 foot seas with a 10 second wave period... Those conditions are not great but if you stay in R bay or close to the beach on the ocean side, they might be fishable, albeit more fishable and comfortable on a larger boat for sure. If you are fishing your boat I'd be prepared for a slow ride and getting wet.

The other factor here is the after effects of the storm that just passed... The seas in tight to the beach are normally settled down by NW or W breeze but the swells from the offshore storm could be an issue even tight to the beach on the ocean side.

If you are really set on getting out, do it but please be safe or jump on a larger party or charter boat. Make sure to call them before heading down to make sure they are sailing. If they are not, there's the answer to your question.... Stay home...

Angry Re: Thoughts on weather conditions

Thanks for your advice. That's what I thought, was hoping the forecasters were wrong. I hate being locked in the bay and not being able to go where the fish are. Thanks again all.

Cool Re: Thoughts on weather conditions

Sounds like a good weekend to do some maintenance on the boat for the fall run. Just sayin!
