Miss Belmar - EXCELLENT FISHING TODAY!

Over the weekend, fishing was no good in the morning. We had tough conditions and the fish wouldn’t bite.

This morning, we took a ride well offshore. The first fish to come over the rail was a nice fat bonito. We read the blues paved along the bottom and we were able to jig blues excellent all day long on all drifts. Some drifts lasted up to an hour long and we held anywhere from 2-8 fish on most of the day. Ava 27’s, plain and tailed, worked well. We also read fish excellent at times in more than one area. Overall, it was an excellent day onboard the Miss Belmar! Our pool winner was Doug Mulholland from Orange County, NY.

Friday night, we fished to the north again. It took awhile to find the blues but when we did we put a nice catch together. They did not bite as well as Thursday but there is a big body of fish out there and it should provide us with some good fishing in the upcoming days!

Saturday night, we did not sail due to the weather.

Sunday night, we went porgy fishing just north of our inlet. It was excellent one drop all night. Everyone caught fish and everyone took home plenty of meat. It was a beautiful night and the seas were flat calm. We also had porpoises around the boat a few times. Everyone ended up having a great time!

Sailing daily from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every afternoon from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
