We did not sail yesterday morning due to the weather.

Last night, we fished to the south again. Fishing was very tough as we had a strong west wind against a ripping tide, as well as, a huge ground swell. The bottom was just too churned up from the storm the night before and only a few short fluke and sea bass were caught.

Today, we sailed out into the horizon east of our port. We anchored up along the edge of the mud hole and started the mackerel immediately. We were able to catch them and keep them all around the boat all day long. We had numerous bonito and some nice sized albies also in the catch. Everything was caught on 007, 17’s, epoxy jigs along with the bait working well. Our pool winner was Donald Mame from Baptistown, NJ with an albie!
