Default Shark river fluking

Rented a skiff and did some fluking in the river. About 25 shorts and 3 keepers with the biggest being 21 inches. Tons of snappers and peanuts- I need to remember a cast net for the next trip.

How much did they charge for the skiff and where did you rent it???

my neighbor is always trying to get me to put my 14' aluminum in the salt, just too much of a pain to trailer it down and then come home and flush it out!

thanks

I grew up on Shark River, first in the rental skiffs and then a square-back canoe with an electric motor. My dad would drop me off on his way to work, come back 10 hours later...nowadays if you see a 10yo kid by himself, no PFD, you'd call the coast guard! I know I would lol

Tons of life in that river back then, and I'm glad to hear it continues. I've yet to drop my kayak in there, definitely gets a little crazy on the weekends, esp when the weather gets iffy outside you'll get big boats drifting next to rental skiffs.
