Default Joey Tomatos Fishing Charters

July 4th and a Tuna trip. seas were calm in the beginning and started out around the Chicken. trolled for quite a while with no hits. Plenty of bait a lot of life whales and dolphin but no Tuna. We decided to try somewhere else and in about 10 to 15 minutes we were slammed. First with the way the line was shooting out we thought it was a really large Tuna. Then we saw it jump and jump and jump. Holly crap it was a monster. Big Blue Marlin but what was it doing there, was it lost? We had it on a 50ty. But it was ripping threw that reel like it was a toy. I had to follow the fish so we did not get spooled. Had a new guy on the boat that paid a lot of money to catch a tuna but this was better. He fought for as long as he could but he tired and it went to the next guy and then the next guy. We fought the fish over an hour but the fish was caught on a rod with a really long leader that we were using to catch tuna. Then we saw the leader when the fish appeared to be ready to come to the boat but as soon as the leader was grabbed the fish went under the boat and the fight was over the line was broke. Would of liked to take a picture of the Marlin but it was all action and just when we thought we could take a picture and were ready it took off again. I' m glad in a way because we fought it for a long time and I did not want to kill this fish for a picture. So we had all the excitement we wanted and the fish lived. Your just have to believe my tale but the first timer will have something to remember for the rest of his life. Joey Tomato's Fishing Charters, Captain Joe
