souix purcell and friends 6/27/17

capt's kevin gerrity and dave bender took souix and ray purcell, along with brad, bernie, amanda and eric out for an overnighter. we had great weather and headed for the bluefin grounds. we caught several small bluefins and finally had a shot our over fish and souix was on the rod. souix fought the fish to the boat in about an hour and did not once even consider passing off the rod. kevin and i were impressed to say the least. we sharked at night for a mako, but only a brown and blue. back on the troll in the morning produced two more overs up to 135 lbs and a pair of yellowfins. the guys had a blast as did kevin and i. i say this alot, but these guys were so much fun to be with.

Welcome to NJ.
Bluefin can be found out in the mudhole as close as 10 - 15 miles at times.
Lately the bite is farther out in the mudhole around the Chicken Canyon and beyond. Take a look at your chart and you will see all of these well known and well marked "secret" spots.
