Cool 1st Limit of the Year!

Fished part of the outgoing and most of the incoming tide in RB. Caught a 19' keeper right off the bat then it was short city! Had to fish the Leonardo Flats due to the terrible conditions. Very windy against the incoming. After trying 10 different places I found a spot that was hot for about a hour even though it was still wind against the tide. Caught over 20 shorts 2 more keeper fluke and a few robins and blues. I worked hard for them today but it payed off. Tight lines!

I was also reading close to 2.0 knots also at one point. The toughest part was presenting the bait properly due to the fast drift.

Way to tough it out... Sometimes you have to fish when you can and make the best of the conditions you're given.

I guess no ones heard of a drift sock , can certainly help in the wind ! In an emergency as well , I carried 2 sizes one sea anchor & smaller drift sock , deployed could cut my drift speed in 1/2 this was on a 20,000 # boat . Allowed me to fish sometimes in hard south bite shut down anyway but gave u a shot under most conditions if ur flukin' or perhaps drifting a wreck .
