Thats a wide open question, When are you going, Where do you want to go, if its in the spring do you want to bottom fish, Tarpon or if the Sails are still around you can do that. If you want the Marathon area I know a lot of places to stay and boats, actually on my way back down in two weeks

Marathon Lady is ok for half day yellowtail and grunts if you want to fish a partial day.

There will also be plenty of small mangrove snapper, pinfish and jacks around bridges and deep water canals. Bring some medium light spinning gear, hooks and split shot. Buy some shrimp from a tackle shop.

I usually stayed on a houseboat. I think we rented them through Faro Blanco. You had a fishing spot right off your balcony, add tunes, beer and a chumbag. Not great fishing, but I always caught a few while relaxing.

Took a trip down the 1st week of April last year. By far the best fishing charter I have ever been on. After heading out on a rough and very windy day on his 32 Andros Boatworks doing 30knots, my wife leaned over and said "we need a bigger boat" That right there was worth the trip. Then we fished and it was epic!

Book asap, lots of the good local guys fill up fast.

as Jigger said Hawks Cay is awesome but top shelf, the Tailwalker is out the Marina their. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express at the north end of Marathon, a few local restaurants within walking distance, their are a bunch of charter boats just a short walk down into Key Colony, I highly recomend The Silver Fox out of their tell Capt Wayne I sent you and he will get you out.
Mahi Mahi will be hard to find, Black Fin tuna will be around

Capt. Jeff Rella is the man to fish with in Marathon. Spent a week fishing with him two years ago. Can't wait to fish with him again.

I also want to fish with Capt. Nick Stancyzk, one of the best sword fishing captains there is next time I'm in the Keys

Pretty sure those species are not readily available that time of year but sailfish, king mackerel and Spanish mackerel should be in high gear.

If you do want to fish on a party boat, make sure you make reservations several days if not weeks before to assure you a stern spot. Also if you are going to rent a rod, request a spinning set up.

If you want the names of my favorite restaurants in Marathon let me know.
