![]() Joey Dah Fish with a 13 and change, Johnny Bucktails with a double digit and Dustin Strehl with a 22.5
![]() ![]() Some will say it's being in the right place at the right time... Yes, that's part of it but there is a lot more involved... First you have to put in your time so you have more chances of being in the right place at the right time. Once you get the opportunity it's all about the angler, their equipment and skill. Catching big Tog like this does not happen by chance, you're fishing very purposely for them. You're not fishing for a bite, your fishing and waiting for the right bite. I've seen some of the best in action... They don't swing very often, they swing when it counts. Your equipment has to be up to the task. The line, the hooks, the rod and reel all play a part and one weak link in any of the above your done. Above all else it's knowing how to use the equipment and how to play the fish... Yes good equipment is important but you can have all the best stuff and still be schooled by someone with a broom stick and a Penn Squider. I've seen it happen... A well deserved congrats to these guys. They put in their time, use all the right stuff and most importantly, know what to do when they get the right bite. Well done men!! Joe and John pictures courtesy of Fish Monger Charters and Dustin's Fins on Feathers. Nice job Captain's Frank and Jerry..
