![]() Our last couple trips were decent.
The Gambler had a good canyon trip in fair seas, catching 30 to 70 lb yellowfin tuna. We also landed a few 30 to 40 lb longfin tuna and had a couple big tilefish. The best of action was just before and an hour or two after sunrise. During the day, from 8am until the time we left, we saw plenty of marks on the fish finder --and even watched big yellowfin taking chunks in our slick, but they were harder to catch. Most guys landed a tuna, a few had 2. Edwin and Sammy totaled 5 tuna and 2 tilefish between them. I think the canyon season looks promising for the rest of the month and probably into November.** There are still openings on up coming trips in November. Call Jill at 732-295-7569 to make a reservation.
