mad gaffer bottom fishing trip Saturday 10/8

We had very few people today, and every person that was here, did not want to fish for porgies. So we grab some crabs, I went black fishing . We achieved our limit, in about 2 1/2 minutes, but stayed with it all day keeping only our limit, the fishing was astounding . Everyone released between 10 and 12 keepers, and for five shorts . We fished in shallow water, so I believe that the hook mortality, was probably about Zero. Alex Lebkes mate and extremely skilled anglerwas our hjgh- hook with probably someplace around three dozen keepers, all of which were released except for his one legal Fish, John kungle ( The electric cowboy he fishes with an electric reel ) was probably just behind him. Hopefully this fishery will sustain itself, until 11/17 . Don't forget that Sea Bass season reopens 10/22, and the striped bass are starting to make a showing, this would be a great time to start planning for that .
