Default Wind Forecast Site

Someone just sent this to me looks pretty cool
https://www.windyty.com/40.337/-74.041?40.336,-74.621,9

Any of you have an experience with it in comparison to Wind Guru or Fishweather?

That site is specifically showing you the output of one model at a time. The specific link you posted is the Euro weather model. That model has had some great successess over the year forecasting large and impactful storms (Sandy), but did not do so well recently with Hermine. It also does not excel at very local forecasting (winds/thunderstorms in a small area), such as the suite of weather models known as "mesoscale" models.

Many weather sites use a blend of models to generate forecasts, without relying on one specific model. The pair of sites you listed (Wind Guru and Fishweather) as well as others like Buoyweather, are more likely to provide a better short term local wind/sea condition forecast than using a single global model. Using a global weather model like the Euro is best utilized to show trends over time and general weather conditions to be expected with a lead time measured in days and not hours.

Thanks for the info.I think I like wind guru better, but perhaps, after becoming more familiar with this site I may change my mind. I do like the fact that it also shows local beach cams. Almost like one stop shopping. Thanks again.
