Default Hallie Loren Mahi attempt 8-27-16

Livewell was loaded with peanut bunker and big killies. We brought the offshore gear too in case we saw anything worthy. Friends Scott, Mike, Cashin and John made up the crew. At the mud hole the water was green. We hit up several pots from depths 90' to 180' with live baited bucktails on light spinners. We saw some triggers but no Mahi were around.* The color clarity chart showed clean water 30 miles east by the Yankee wreck and we opted not to make the move. We switched over to fluking just west of the mudhole and waved hello to Christian fishing on the Monger with Jerry. Countless short fluke and skates, doggies were landed. Cashin got 2 keepers. Scott pulled in a huge silver eel in the 6lb range that was released. Overall fun day out with the guys .

We had some really small ones on the west side last week. Hoping we get some cleaner water and some decent fish move in.

Nice shot at it Ed.

Starting to worry about this green water. Hope the changing weather improves conditions.
