No jersey jumbos, but another fluke limit

today I got lucky and my old man took a day off from work to go fluking with me. After finishing some work on the engine, we Ran right back out to where we had our big fish last week but it wasn't meant to be. A 2.5 knot drift in the big channel means nothing but robbins. Lines up, and time for a move. Next drop we dropped the jigs down and picked and plucked throughout the day with a lot of short action keeping us busy. Hammered away until all conditions deteriorated. At noon, the wind completely died so we ran back to our honey hole hoping for a better drift, but it still wasn't meant to be. A wicked bottom current against the light wind had us spinning in circles and our lines running up to the bow. Dealt with conditions by casting our bucktails around and we slowly finished off our 10 keepers. No big ones, but I caught a 6 pound 9oz fish. We also had 2 monster seabass that will be fried up tonight.

Beautiful day on the water, nice NW breeze and flat calm seas. Fish bit as well which is always a plus, not matter what size. No keepers came on bait today, most of our keepers came on squiddo gulp. A lot of the fluke that we have been filleting have whole squids in there bellies, along with peanuts or butterfish.
