![]() The Sandy Hook surf was "boiling" with 1-3lb cocktail blues all morning...used fresh water gear and lite penn reel w/17lb mono line w/ 1oz kassmasters, crocks and small metal....by noon the wind changed direction and it was all over...good day in the sun and surf...see 'ya all later

![]() That sounds like great action.
I was there in the surf 8/20/16 and it was evident that the action on fluke was slowing down. No keepers this time and 5 shorts of fluke, one searobin and a few tiny snappers. Did see a big blitz with gulls- possibly the bluefish you were talking about, but they were too far to reach. Was there 7am-1pm. No fish activity after 11am really. |
