Default Canyons?

Heading out on an overnighter sponsored boat from MI this weekend... I've not see much reports other then Mahi from our local canyons... A bit disappointing... Any new word on the bite? The boat I'm going out on is great and I trust the captain and crew to put fish on the boat and if not provide an as always great time. Any word of reports will be great for moral and expectations.

From what I understand the water is hot, 80*. Marlin and Mahi like hot water, not so much the tuna though.

Just looked at Rutgers site temp map---80-82* throughout--Way north of the Hudson south past the Washington Canyon. Could be wall-to-wall bills & Mahi...

It has been a rough year in the canyons for tuna out of north and central NJ. The gulf water never moved in and doesn't look like it will anytime soon. It's the worst I have seen in over 20 years. Sadly, I am not sure we may ever see the yft and lft move in this season but hoping for the best.
