Default San Juan Puerto Rico

Hey all!

I'm heading to a bachelor party with some of the boys in San Juan PR August 13th for a week of shenanigans. I'd like to entertain the idea of doing some fishing with the guys even though they are mostly googans. Anyone know any good, cheap, bay charters in the San Juan area? Not sure what is biting but Tarpon have always been on my hit list of fish I'd love to land.

Thanks in advance for you're help!

Blurp!

Some awesome fishing right in the bay. Caught a 90 to 100 lb tarpon last year in September. Knows his stuff, awesome fisherman & personable. Super easy to get to from San Juan. Ask him for early AM before it get real hot. If you're going around full moon ask him about tarpon/snook at night. Monster snook that no one fishes for. You can literally scoop up shrimp by the nets full. Great fishery.

Catching a 100lb Tarpon vs hanging out with a bunch of Gaggons? Hmmm!! What do you think?

PR' best kept secret ? Anyhow started way in in 80's down there with a good friend that had a charter business out of San Juan .
Tarpon can be super with spin or fly right in harbor & as mentioned snook big guys abound there .
Is of Calibra great offshore as well further north up coast all species available .
When UR going should be smooth going offshore in winter big seas many days, having said that limited time ,!do the harbor for Tarpon !!
