Default Tin Knocker 7-30-16 Canyon Report

Headed to the deep Friday night at 11:00pm. Arrived in the canyon and put out the spread and started trolling around 4:30. At 6:30 the left long rigger goes off and we see this Blue Marlin launching from water so we clear the lines and settle in for the fight, an hour and a half later we finally leader the blue marlin and we estimate he is around 400-500 lbs. Back on the troll and no tuna so we decide to start pot hopping and put together a catch of 20 mahi. Started trolling again but still no tuna. Finally later in the afternoon the right long and the left short start screaming and after a few minutes we see that we have hooked 2 Wahoo but as we get them almost in gaffing range the both break off. All and all a decent trip with great weather and decent action. If you are interested in going to the deep please call to book your trip.
