![]() Had a full 6 person crew today for our deepwater bottom trip.
Ran back to where we fished last week. First drop in 105'-110' feet was sloooooow as we only had a few ling, another very lucky 16" tog, and a bunch of pout. Next move was to a wreck in 180'. Slow action there with crappy conditions - S wind up against the N current... Just a slow pick of ling... Next one was a little better, this one in 220'. A little better pick of ling, and a few nice fat flounder came up... Finally our last drop on a wreck in 165' was at times a good pick of ling, as well as several more flounder, although these flounder were a tad smaller. Overall we had a good day, and the crew worked extremely hard to put together a decent catch of ~120 ling (all sizes from hot dogs to jumbos) and 8 flounder to 3#, as well as one jumbo sea raven. Nice day, wound up putting it together but as I said today it took some work to get it done! |
