Fishing around the Hook today

Shark tourney cancelled, got the invite to fish with a capt up in the hook on his Steiger....loaded up and headed out to the bay, couple drops at dead slack tide no good. Headed outside and scooted around for a while with a bite here and there nothing crazy...Shot in along the beach and we were rippin on a drift but started seeing life after tide change, stayed on those drifts with bits of life each time, lots of shorts, sea robins and dogs and skates to contend with. Stayed with it until winds changed again and picked up a few for the keeper box. Headed back into the bay for a bit before heading in. Great way to make the most of the day if we weren't going to shark. Heard of a few Blue sharks caught offshore for those who did go but no makos of contention.....
