So many people in our fishing community want to support veterans but have a hard time trusting charities because we too often learn about charities putting very high percentages of donated money toward bloated executive salaries and other hard to justify overhead, leaving only a few cents of every dollar to actually help the veterans. Thanks to some good friend who were in the Navy SEAL teams, I found a great, efficient charity operated by veterans and we are asking for your support
Along with my SEAL friends, we are having our 3rd annual Warriors for Warriors Fund Raiser Dinner on Saturday June 4th from 7pm to 10:30pm at River Rock Restaurant and Marina Bar in Brick. All of our proceeds go to Operation Restored Warrior, a veteran run charity that has proven that 96.4% of all money donated goes directly to healing veterans of PTSD to prevent veteran suicides. ORW has healed 700 men from PTSD since 2008 at no charge to the veterans. Tickets are $50 each which includes all you can eat dinner, and all you can responsibly drink beer and wine. Attire is "smart casual". Tickets are available at the door of River Rock Restaurant and Marina Bar, or in advance at
www.warriorstournament.com where you will see a button on the top right of the page for Fundraiser Dinner information.
The fund raiser dinner has 3 very special VIP guests, has a Live Auction, 50/50, Door Prizes and a Silent Auction with a grand total of just over $45,000 worth of items. We have some very special patriotic items, a ton of fishing items and other items donated from local businesses for men and women as well.
Please join us for a memorable night raising money to help our veterans with severe PTSD so we can together prevent veteran suicides. The website of the charity we support is
