Default Help picking some trips

After a brief 30 year hiatus from the NJ party boat scene, I'm back in action! Just ordered my new Bogan Fish Poison, and am looking forward to using it. Although I've been saltwater fishing very regularly in VA and NC for years, I'm ready to get back on a party boat. It's a 5 hour drive for me, but I'm coming to Belmar/Point Pleasant May 20-22 specifically to fish. So here's the question: what party boat trips do you guys recommend? I'd like to fish Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday AM, if possible. objective is to get in as many trips and fish as many species as possible In those 3 days.

I would recommend a charter over a party boat since this is a special trip for you, but if that isn't doable I would go on a boat that's livelining. At that time it'll be either or miss, though if you hit it that fishing is amazing. Big Mohawk usually does liveline trips in May.

Since you mention the charter option, I'll share a bit more info. It's actually the party boats that are attracting me. You see, I started saltwater fishing on party boats out of Belmar in the 70s. Since then I've moved away, fished in quite a few places around the world, owned more boats that I wanted to, and truly love saltwater fishing. But this trip is really simple...I want to get back to where I started. Probably seems goofy, but I'm pretty excited.

The Ocean Explorer in Belmar is a good choice!

Love the cock robin for the bass and blues and the ocean explorer for the bottom critters

Bluefish and Bass. Are definitely in the plan. I had hoped to do a bottom fishing trip too, like the one Paramount does, but seabass, porgy, fluke and blackfish are all closed the weekend I'm targeting. What would by bottom fishing options be in mid May? Ling?
