It would be interesting to know what logic is behind that, if any.

The striper is there state fish. They should of taken care of the bunker reduction boats and stopped all the illegal gill netters. When we were throwing fish back they were allowed to keep two at fish 20".Stripers are migratory and Maryland does not own the stock. Maryland is by far the biggest offender of Illegally harvested stripers. If it is there state fish why don't the give it game fish status and stop all netting in every form? New jersey did it but i guess they are the priveledged state!

1 @ 35" is only for their spring season (4/16 to 5/15) ...summer and fall (5/16 to 12/20), they still get to keep 2; 1 over 20" and 1 over 28".

They're not getting shafted.

They deserve to get shafted for how poorly they manage their striper stock. Little to no enforcement of harvest, legal or illegal. I'm actually for even tighter restrictions regarding Maryland. It's an embarrassment how little they care about their striper stocks.

Title should read, Chesapeake gets what they deserve.
