Default fishing pics

Caught and released 15 fish to 10" with a 1/32 oz red and white tube jig on 2 lb test line in the rain the past 2 days. Yesterday 154 people in 26 boats were in my spot. Today 3 members of the bucket brigade were there. One poacher is there all day every day with 7 rods. He kills thousands of fish each year. Fishing from shore in NJ public fishing areas is ridiculous.

Those planks look familiar. If its where i think it is, there are a bunch of older guys who fish there religiously. They keep a decent amount of pan fish. Mostly keeper crappie, yellow perch and white perch with the occasional Larry. The mention of 26 boats has got me thinking otherwise though. Unless they're a rowing squad!

If this alleged poacher is really there every day or even close to that frequency and is killing over limit/under sized fish regularly, and is using more than the allowed number of rods/lines for shoreline fishing, then make the call and turn him in. If you truly feel that "Fishing from shore in NJ public fishing areas is ridiculous" then coming here and complaining won't help. Do something about it. Otherwise you're no different than someone who complains about politicians but then states they 'never' vote.

That aside, nice job on the good mess of fish on light tackle!

I know the spot he's talking about and I know the people he's referring to. Between the cormorants and shortie keepers, the amount of panfish and feeder fish in that area has really dropped. I have called GW's on them and they keep coming back, kind of like the cormorants.

26 boats??? WOW, time to find a new spot, that's crazy. Not to mention, who want's to put up with that when you want to go out and relax and do some fishing.
