Also I assume these little guys are whipers, correct? White perch do not have the lateral lines? Either way, they were picking me apart this weekend. Had to go to a tiny circle hook to find out what they were.

Cool little wiper dude! Beating the skunk is what it's about sometimes, good to be out there regardless though.
That sux with the gull, Hahaa!! I accidentally hooked a friggin duck 1 time after he dove and hit my lure clean, stupid ass birds sometimes! Beats the skunk as well I guess, Hahaa!

To be honest, the bird makes one helluva fishing story. Had one decent fish about 12 in or so - rest were babies and a yellow perch for good measure. They kept me busy

By looking at the stocking numbers every yr and some research on their growth rate, them little guys make up the majority of the brid population on certain lakes... i wonder how often them little guys are on the bigger rockets menus??? mite be a bait alternative when the shops run outta herring

Juvenile White Perch have lateral lines which they lose as they mature. Also, the mouth of the White Perch is smaller than a Hybrid’s or a pure strain Striped Bass.

I would ID it as a juvenile White Perch.
