GAMBLER --Striper Reports Fri/Sat

After our best striper day of the fall, I thought Friday would be a sure thing. Friday looked good and lifey --birds, bait fish, readings-- but couldn't get anything to chomp. Reports were poor up and down the beach yesterday.

Today was better. Started with some big blues and a few stripers mixed in. Towards the end of the day, we had a good drift of big bass. We had some live baits but Croc spoons and AVA jigs were the ticket.

Hopefully the bass and blues will now settle in and take hold in one place for a while.
