![]() Headed out for a sea bass trip with Capt. Nelson and mate/Rob-Pat on the Roman Round. Capt. Nelson suggested we stop for black fish, 1 hour later we limited the boat. We moved to the sea bass grounds and caught a few. However as conditions changed from sporty to snotty Capt. Nelson decided enough was enough we headed back in and trolled for strippers. It was a great call, for the next 2 hours we had non stop action. So our sea bass trip ended up with maybe 10 sea bass caught, a boat limit of black fish and a boat limit of striped bass. My fishing buddy Tony T. had a great day catching a 44" striper weighing over 30 lbs.

![]() I know I can't catch fish from the couch Bob, but I was beat.
The day before I fished for NY blackfish with a great Captain who happens to be a NS now. Did not have to run far while they're still inshore. One guy ( The Legend) had a NY limit. Others had only one keeper or just shorts, including myself, who threw back a couple NJ keepers. We had a fun day and fair tog fishing in spite of Friday's morning winds. I know you & Tony will both text me when the next sea bass / striper trip is firmed-up on the Roman'Round. After Trick or Treatin' I hope. Regards to Capt Nelson & the guys. Congrats Tony T. on that 44" beauty. Tom K. |
