Default Bad influence sportfishing - new to the forum

Guys,

I am new to the site and wanted to introduce everyone to my business. My name is Captain Jeff Viamari and I am the owner/operator of Bad Influence Sportfishing. We fish the waters surrounding Cape Cod and Rhode Island from May til December. We specialize in 6 man charters but we also have pre-scheduled open boat trips to accommodate the anglers who cannot find enough people to charter the boat. We also run open boat trips daily when ever we are not chartered. The Bad Influence is on a trailer so I have the ability to move the boat to where the best fishing is.

We start fishing on May 1 with Cape Cod Squid and Buzzards Bay Blackfish. As some of you know, this year we experienced one of the best spring squid runs I have seen in years.

Starting in mid may we transition to spring porgies and sea bass sailing out of Hyannis, MA. Spring fishing is excellent in Hyannis with porgy limits being the norm every day, then we transition to shallow water jigging for sea bass.

At the end of June, we start our Nantucket Fluke trips and Nomans sea bass trips. On the fluke trips we fish the famed Nantucket shoals for fluke and sea bass. On the Noman's trips we focus on shallow water jigging for jumbo sea bass.

Starting in September, we start our Massachusetts blackfish trips. On these trips we focus on fishing the shallow waters of Buzzards Bay for trophy blackfish using light tackle. We will fish in Massachusetts until the blackfish season opens in Rhode Island.

Mid October the Bad Influence moves to her fall home in Newport, RI. We fish the waters around Newport til December 15 for blackfish.

Please visit my website at Badinfluencesportfishing.com to view more about myself, the boat, and our recent catches.

I look forward to fishing with you.

Captain Jeff Viamari

Jeff,

Welcome

We used to go up to Buzzards for Blackback flounder and bring home 100# of fillets each and then dinner at one of the "all the scallops you can eat" places by Onset.

And yes, the Tog fishing is unbelievable up there.

PS - you have a typo on your website link - "i" is missing

I have not fished with Jeff on the Bad Influence but have fished with him in MA on some of the party boats when we use to head up there to cod fish. I know alott of guys who speak highly of him as he knows his stuff.

I can attest to the great blackfishing up in RI as it has not been a secret to me as i have been fishing up there for them for over 20 years. End of Oct first couple of weeks in Nov seem to be the prime time for RI blackfishing which is perfect being it is a great warm up to our NJ opener on Nov 16. The fishing up there is off the chart as they do not get the pressure we do and they having crazy good bottom.
Average fish seems to be better than what we have in NJ. You always have a chance of a 10-12 pound fish there as well. For whatever reason they do not get as many teenagers as we get.

Will be giving Jeff a call at some point to put together a fluke charter to fish Nantaucket Will keep you guys posted.

Best of luck to you Jeff

I have fished with Jeff twice near Hyannis. Both trips were full boat limits. Jeff is a good guy, a great fishermen and provides outstanding service. On my last trip I left a sweatshirt one the boat. He was kind enough to mail it to me.

Give Jeff a try you will enjoy yourself.

Bill
