Default Post storm river eye 10/4/15

Got off the couch at 10 pm last night, got dressed and drove to the river. Water receded pretty quickly from the storm buy def a ton of crap in the water and some new structure. Met jimmylivebait on the scene, too. He seemed to have more fun chasing beaver than fishing last night lol. Poor lil fur ball looked like he had a rough wknd with the storm. Something was clearly wrong with it... the beaver, not jimmy.

Anyways, fishing was slow. Water temp had to have dropped at least 10 degrees. First few casts jimmy got got whacked but swung and missed. Little while later same happened to me. Light bite, swung and missed. Then not a tap for at least an hour. I switched from a plug to a soft plastic and send a cast out into some really deep fast stuff and let it sink. I commence jigging the bait back toward me and thump! Fish on! After a not so smooth landing I secured the fish, jimmy snaps a pic and off she goes. That was it. She was a nice low 20s and starting to pack on some girth. Headed out shortly after. Here's a pic

Catch em up!

I was down ribber on the flats, most sections up to my waist, didn't get anything, as usual.
