Is the end of September a good time for inshore Maihi Maihi and football tuna? Does anyone have any input on this time of year for them? Thanks for any help.

Everything I've been hearing is dirty water at the closer in mudhole spots and depending where you are running from, it's not until a 50 or so mile run where you are going to hit clean water.

Been dying to get off myself and waiting for cleaner water and decent running conditions to make it worth my while.

Let us know how you make out Brian and best of luck!!

This time of year is the typical time when things start to happen out in the middle ground areas so I hope yours will be the first of many more reports.

Was out Monday in the vicinity of the oil wreck and the water was as disgusting as it's been all year. Not sure what happened to water quality this year but until it changes significantly don't think we'll find pelagics in any numbers in that area. Something is different this year to make the inshore water that nasty, not sure what exactly that something is.

You are not allowed to catch them unless you spell the name right- mahi mahi.
