Default Recap of the last week -- RR & Spruce

Caught some fish last Friday nite on the raritan... A schoolie striper, a small smallie and a nice 16-17" smb. All on soft plastics and an 1/8 oz jig head.

Hit Spruce late Saturday night. Herring have def slowed down by now. Threw plugs. Dropped one hybrid at my feet and caught my biggest Spruce LMB to date, roughy 3.5 lbs--solid fish.

Hit the river again last night. Casted for what seemed like forever. Get nailed in some skinny water thinkin good sized walleye... Nope. 22" channel cat on a soft plastic on a jighead. Kitty was stuffed solid. As I'm wrapping things up I walk a bit upstream back towards my car and say "three more casts" lol... First cast, BAM! I'm on. Fish goes airborne 6-7 times and feels good. Hit on the drop. Get the fish in and she taped out at 19.5"--my largest RR smb to date. Pic doesnt do it justice. Gotta pull the other pics I took with my camera to show a better profile. Wide body Benz this smb was (yoda voice). Healthy fish, healthy river...

Drive home half asleep, stinkin like fish with a sh*t eatin grin on my face... life is good--so long as the fish keep biting! Pics below... Jigman OUT!

I was actually thinking of your selfless services while looking at these pics Andy. The silver color on the underside of largemouth means clean water, as opposed to the yellowish tint we usually see. Nice catch, sweet bag all around.

Lol, I'm not so sure about the daytime thing anymore haha! Unless I'm on the getanet 2 dragging bait for wipers or standing on ice!

That's the best kind of night life right there. I have driven home from the river many times stinking of fish and bait and covered in slime but with that same look on my face
