Default Dorothy B week in review/Marathon trip tomorrow

First day off in 7 days as Jake was out of town but he's back and I finally have a few minutes to get everyone up to date.
The past week saw some decent days with lots of life in the bay but as the days wore on that fell apart somewhat. There were guys who landed 20-30 shorts and a few keepers earlier last week but by the weekend it petered out in our bay. When able we fished the ocean with decent results and we also went the other way into the back bay and also had respectable results. Pool fish have mostly been in the 5 pound range.
Highlights include yesterdays afternoon trip, a young angler out with his dad and pop-pop managed to land a big 10 lb. chopper blue on light tackle. He was thrilled at his accomplishment and rightly so. The yellow eyed demons have been terrorizing the bunker pods everyday.
Pasquale "Need More Hooks" Escobar nailed a pool winner of 5 lbs over the weekend. Nice job! I'm sure Rick is green with envy!
The cow nose rays have been popping up here and there to cause drag screaming mayhem once in a while and there are some summertime transients around like banded rudderfish, flying fish (yes, for real. We saw them) smooth pufferfish, you just never know this time of year with the warm water.

We still have room for tomorrows Fluke-A-Thon. 6:30 AM-3:30 PM.

See you on the dock!
