Reel Class Tuesday 7/28 Fluke
Had a truly last second trip today w Dr Marvin and crew.
Fluke fished locally and found ok life in the morning w shorts and the occasional keeper coming up in a screaming south current. (Dragged bait ALL DAY because of screaming current -- Needed 8-12 oz to hold all day).
Bounced around most of the day picking one here n there but it was never good. By noon time when the south breeze kicked in our drift increased to 1.7-1.9 so we fished inside and only caught trash fish with a few short fluke in the mix.
Out of ~35 fluke we had 7 keepers (all nicer fish in the 3-5#range) as well as a couple seabass and ling. Tough day, great crew. Back at it tomorrow.
