Default Live from montauk...update

Out with my old boss. We are killing the bass. I just put a 40 in the box. Huge body of big fish! I dropped a bigger one boat side. Full report to follow. Should start fluking soon

Nice job Shrimpy.
Were any of those fish in the surf zone.
Trying to plan a trip to do some rock hopping.

Nice fish shrimp. Big fish out by block and in the rips... My fathers been whackin them good on eels. Tie 80+ lb leaders, esp in the deeper, rock-laden areas. Def some beasts around out there. Be equipped properly!

Great trip spent Thursday night in a weekend at bernies type mansion on the beach took a late afternoon swim in the ocean then an outrageous BBQ on his deck on the ocean

The fishing on Friday was lights out. We got our limit of seven bass. Unfortunately all over thirty pounds. I say that because I would rather kill a 28 inch fish than the cows but we didn't catch one under 30 lbs and the peeps I fished with were mostly once a year fisherman. So I don't want to hear about the big fis we killed. With that said I had a 41 pounder and a 36 pounder. I lost a bigger one boatside ( maybe my 50 ) but what are YA gonna do? To fill out the day we bailed seabass which just opened in NY. nice 3-4 pounders. Finished the day off fluking in the north rips. The weather was PERFECT. One of those top ten ever fishing days.

Stopped at my friends house again on the way home, jumped in the pool, changed and hit the road. Now I'm getting the boat ready to take my so tomorrow.

Stripers were caught at the point. Not quite casting distance but you never know. Jamie is the man if your going out there. Make sure you tell him shrimpman said hello! The fluke are there and Jamie will find them.
