Miss Belmar - 7 lb FLUKE, cod, ling, sea bass and blues
Friday afternoon, we had very good action on some short fluke and sea bass. We did manage a 7 lb keeper fluke and a handful of keeper sea bass. Also, everyone enjoyed the show the two breaching whales put on for us!
Saturday morning, we fished offshore and found some small blues. It was good fishing for 4-5 drifts where we caught fish all around the boat. Saturday night, we fished south east of our inlet. It took a while to get them started but by the end of the night, we had small blues going really good. Those who listened to us and used the light tackle and small hooks easily caught their limits. Sunday morning, we could not find the blues like we did on Saturday. We were able to catch a few on each drift along with mackerel. Sunday afternoon, we fished north of our inlet. We had a few really great drifts where everyone was catching short and keeper fluke and sea bass! We also caught a big cow nosed ray which all the kids loved getting a close look at. This morning, we fished north of our inlet. There were no blues today so we opted for bottom fishing and caught a few cod, ling and fluke. Join us on our FAMILY FUN DAY of fishing Sunday through Friday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. We will go out for fluke, sea bass, blues, whatever's biting and you can enjoy a sunset cruise on the way home.
