Ran an open trip today with a full crew of 6.
Broke the inlet just after 6 and found a flat calm ocean. Went back up to where we had the bites Friday but found that area very quiet - just some shorts and 1 keeper. Bounced around there but found very little life.
Then ran further up the line and fished the rough stuff and found some shorts - but that was short lived. Ran offshore a bit, found some current, and found a little patch and picked a few nice ones - but again, that was short lived.
By this time it was after high noon so we fished some pieces closer to home and found alittle more life - actually a pretty good bite on one spot and got the guys some more keepers. Most of the fish were barely above the mark and very few were "NMR's" - lots of short also as well as some ling and seabass.
Called it a day at 2 - wound up with an even dozen (12) keeper fluke and I think 4 seabass and 6 ling. Not a bad day; conditions were basically horrible and the fish were off the chew until later in the day --- Ryan led the way with 7 keepers - nice job carrying the team today bro
