Default Party boat Angler more big fluke

All the boats had good crowds today with the nice weather forecast. For once the weatherman was almost right except for the amount of breeze this morning. We had a dollar pool for the first keeper and Phil Barling from Easton Pa took thepool with a nice 8 pound fluke and it held up all day for the daily pool. Bob Miller from Allentown had a fish 1/2 inch longer that only weighed 7# 10 oz. as it's stomach was empty. Steve Kraff from jersey City had 3 keepers and 20 shorts. I was expecting the fishing to get better when the tide changed but it didn't when we had better conditions.

July 4th is normally a slow day. It looks like any rain should be after we dock.

7:00 AM sailing first boat out and galley open.

BIG POOL NOW $2000

Thanks captain George

Default Re: Party boat Angler more big fluke

First couple of drifts were pretty good with nice fish coming on deck and the yo dollar dollar fish yo/ pool winner held up all day. After that the wind really picked up for a couple of drifts then it slowly dropped out the rest of the day till there was 0 wind and drift after the change of tide.

I through everything I had at them today bucktailing, from a 3,2,1, and 3/4 oz. with 1 keeper (I will take luck everytime) with like 10 shorts. Caught the keeper on a new penny shrimp and the rest on nuclear chicken, mullets and minnows with a spearing chaser today.

After the change of tide the drift totally dropped out and it was almost perfect for bucktailing , but I couldn't do anything better than shorts while dropping down to a 3/4 oz bucktail. It was just very weird after that with the drift and current no matter were we went.

Big Joe had the day off and Little Joey stepped up in his place as supermate, BTW you are slowly turning into your father and we need to talk about that and you made him proud today, P.S you cant fight genetics - Love you kiddo. Hopefully I get to fish with you on Sunday when I take the wife out (that will be interesting especially if I can keep my shout - )

Bait outfished bucktails today (which has been the case so far this year and still I don't switch)

Till Sunday

Be Well - Be Safe and Fish-on
