Default Elks Fluke Tourney and Savino SI Tourney

It looks like Savino Staten Island Fluke Tourney is moving their date to compete directly with Pt Pleasant Elks Fluke tourney on July 25. I heard they are having two Capts Mtg one option in Pt Pleasant in addition to Staten Island to attract more NJ boats.

My question is will they have weigh in anywhere in NJ to make it more attractive to NJ boats leaving out of Manasquan Inlet as require by Elks rules? If not it would seem those boats doing only the Savino would have a huge advantage as they can start at 5am vs Elks 6am and leave from anywhere vs Elks Manasquan only and NJ boats would also have to run all the way to Staten Island to weigh in. If the Savino is looking to compete to have teams sign up for both tourneys perhaps having multiple weigh in stations including a Manasquan option makes most sense? ....I'd appreciate any thoughts or updates.

Sucks they are the same day. Both are good tourneys.
The gran pa weigh in draws a crowd, and i doubt they will change its set up.
This year a fish bigger than last year's winner is worth 50 grand

Thanks , Dan. If they don't change setup such and allow a NJ weigh in close to or on the Manasquan my opinion is I doubt they get the number of boats Elks gets even with the bigger check for a 11.25 lb fluke.

Maybe Elks should consider doing something similar? JCAA has also added a prize for a fish over 12 lbs if you pre register.....that's in addition to the calcuttas that both now have as well.
