6/14 - Mushin Canyon - Tuna & Mahi
6/14 - Capts. Alan and Chad were offshore today in the canyon after we decided to pass on the two shark tournaments this weekend given the weather that night - although it sounded like a lot of nice MAKOs were weighed in! We fished a southern canyon in 73-74 degree blue water and found good life. We had 15 yellowfin to 40 pounds plus 2 gaffer mahi and countless skippies trolled on a variety of spreader bars and ballyhoo. Many YFT got to swim because marginal size, but kept bigger ones for table. Lots of life and signs for great canyon season! We still have some room for this Friday/Saturday.
