![]() Had the dog running in the marsh trails in Waretown recently and came up these birds. About 15-18" tall. All dark brown and black heads. Long curved beaks.
Any idea what they are. Never seen them before. Googled some images and found similar birds but coloring didn't match. B

![]() The shape of the beak makes me think it's an ibis. Tough to tell the color from the photo, but I believe it's a glossy ibis. Here's a clearer photo, is this what you saw?
