Took out long time fishing buddy mr. Ben and father in law for what I thought was going to be a cooler filler trip. Not!

This is usually some of my most productive time of the year for meat fish like fluke, sea bass and ling. started out in the river hoping for a couple of quick hit fluke. But after a while of nothing, decided to go prospecting for greener pastures outside. Made three drops of my typically meat locker spots and found nothing.

Decided to dedicate the rest of the back inside for fluke hoping for something to take home. After scouring several usual spots, came up with one eighteen and quarter inch fluke for the day. Wow.

Yes, beautiful day out on the water, but the fishing was most definitely nothing to write home about.

Btw, I counted eleven party boats west of earl to keansburg flats.
