Default Shocking sight today

I stopped in between jobs to do a bit of fishing at the P. When I got out of the car there was a smell of dead fish. As I walked to the river, I noticed a swarm of flies and went to check it out. There I saw about 6-8 fish dumped covered with flies and maggots. And then maggots all along the walkway to the river. They were big fish and definitely not carp or catfish, they looked like bluefish. I didn't post the pic because it's pretty gross but if y'all wanna see it, I'll post. If in fact they were blues, I wanna know what kind of a**hole drives over an hour to dump fish carcasses...

Some one dumped tuna carcasses in the North Branch at the confluence last fall so this is no surprise.

I guess I'm new to the river fishing scene, I'm not used to such disregard lol

Sucks, but does not surprise me! We once came across a monster stingray on the side of the road in Lyndhurst in the meadowlands. Clearly some tool dumping it.

Where they filleted or whole? With all the bluefish swimming around us right now it wouldn't surprise me if someone cut some up for a meal or fertilizer on a non-garbage night and dumped the carcasses.
