Fish Monger II Sat and Sun Cod
Hello All,
Feels great to be back fishing. Mostly cod now as its still a lil chilly for the blackfish in our area. Our first two trips this seen some action with alot of short cod but we managed to get some nice keepers including a few in the hi twenties...handful of ling. We Will b Codfishin rest of the week then focus a lil harder on blackfish for the rest of the month along with the cod. Also gonna sneak in a couple flounder trips when the winds blowing! Here's the report n some pics from this weekend Fish Monger Sat 4/11 Cod - First day back on the ocean with Phil and crew. Everyone was def happy to b back out fishing. Pretty Slow bite... we had some action but unfortunately most of the fish were short. Bounced all over the place but life was about the same. Caught 35 shorts dozen keepers n a couple ling. Not nearly enough but glad we got a few.. Will b out looking for better again tomorow and Mon. Fish Monger Sun 4/12 - Back out today looking for some Codfish... decent action today but again alot of the fish were short... weeded thru em for some nice size keepers. Bounced around n scraped up what we could. No great fishing but worked hard to put some in the box... Had Over 50 shorts 22 keepers half dozen ling n a keeper pollack for a 7 man crew. Back at it in the am... thanks guys!!!!

Thanks for Saturdays trip Jerry. You worked hard power drifting the spots all day and never dropping the anchor. It was good to be out fishing again. The boats running great, she's a great platform.
