Default Ocean Explorer Sunday

3-1-15 Talk about a crazy day out there,,it was calm for the most part but it did snow pretty hard for quite a while,,then it turned to rain and when we got to within 5 miles from the beach the ocean turned to slush all on the surface..pretty cool,I have never seen it like that before.Fishing was very slow for us,,,,ended up with a few keeper codfish and some shorts but very dull..Some spots were so dull we did not even get any bites,,The water was very cold today out offshore..35-36...degress,,32 inshore.,Had to do alot of moving around looking for any life.I have pics but I left them on the boat so I will post em up tomorrow!!No fishing tomorrow,,high winds forecasted..Seee ya tomorrow.

any pics of the slush capt? -- would love to see it!

There was a pic of facebook from up in mass of waves breaking with actual ice in them - I'd guess the water temp was right around 32 and any "frozen" stuff that went in like snow lol stayed frozen and was breaking in on the beach...

Water's real cold!!
