Post Ice pictures and info here covering Bays, Rivers and ocean, 2015
Last year I did this page also here.http://www.njfishing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66880
Seems there is more ice now and still growing much latter then last year at this time. Info regarding where ice is covering areas and flowing may be helpful for many out there for navigation. River ice is also getting thick from the prelonged cold weather and poses a big flooding issues in when it decides to let lose in the spring. Be safe out there. I will start off with the First one.
Sea Ice wrapped around Cape May today, lots of ice in Chesapeake bay and Loaded up in Sandy hook bay towards highlands side. Can see it on this most recent Satellite picture and loop http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/wf...flash-vis.html

The Shrewsbury river from Monmouth Beach to the confluence with the Navesink at Rocky Point is frozen with jagged chunks of ice. The eastern side of Sandy Hook Bay is the same way. There were some ice flows in the canal in PT Pleasant as well. If someone on this board came out of his house on Feb. 2nd and saw your shadow, I blame you.

Flounder through the ice? I was thinking the same thing as I pictured tip ups all over the bay on St. Patrick's Day.
