This is lunacy!!! Not to mention there research is always over budget and flawed. There is no reason they can't do their piss poor research while anglers continue to fish. It's just plain stupid !!!

One method of fishing is basically responsible for this fishery being stressed, but as usual we all now pay the price.
I have fished in this region for al amostp15 seasons & definitely big cod are missing!
Closures in this region as they now stand will definitely put some charters out of business or severely Impact what will be left of their business.
The pollock , whiting , haddock , fishery will not pick up the loss of cod,fishing in this region
Hopefully something or someone with a brain will foster a fisheries proposal that all can at least survive until this area is once again viable.
I'm not holding my breath!!
