![]() Hey guys, do you know of a really good epoxy that doesn't get affected by extreme cold? Looking to mount my gopro to my snowmobile helmet. Last year just using the gopro mounts, it fell right off in the -20 degree temps of Canada. Can't use screws and no drilling holes... Thanks!

![]() JB weld makes a good 2 part epoxy. Its liquid steel.
They make the regular and a quick set. Either one of those bog box stores on 17 has it. I would rough up the helpet w some sand paper first for better adhesion. It dries grey in color.

![]() 3M 5200 Stuff will adhere to anything and a quick look at the specs say it's good to -40. Long cure time though, something like 6/7 days.

![]() Suggestions I've gotten so far were JB Weld Cold, Shoegoo, G-Flex 655, and 5200. The Gflex stuff by West is crazy expensive. The 5200 I think may be too flexible, and I'm sure that week long cure time was if applying it in extreme cold. I think I may try Shoegoo which is rated for like -40 and I think I might have some laying around.

![]() Shoe goo is more or less heavy duty silicone. Should work but again id scuff up the helmet a bit for better adhesion.
As a precaution mabey add a saftey wire from the cam to helmet strap in case the glue fails you dont drop, run over, or lose the cam.

![]() Go the 5200 route and I think you'll be happy. Definitely won't be too flexible. It will se up solid. I've set bilge pumps up in place years ago with the stuff and they are rock solid. I'm sure others can attest to it's holding abilities. As far as the long cure times, for me it hasn't been temp sensitive. Takes a solid 5-7 days regardless of temp or humidity.
