Pretty Little Christmas Bow!
Out on the river to day for a few hours. Hit a spot recommended by jigman just before I was going to leave this morning ...figured I never catch anything on the river and really have no idea what I'm doing so I should probably take his advice. Plus he already pointed me in the right direction last year for my first (and only ever) Brook Trout. Good call again. Managed one more than I usually catch...yes that means I caught 1...little rainbow on a good old panther martin (1/8 oz gold blade black body). Had four others follow it right to my feet but wouldn't commit....that's way more action then I usually see trout fishing for sure. Tried hair jigs for a bit as well but no love on those. Beautiful day out there, especially for December. Felt good to just get out there as it's been a while...catching anything was a bonus. Pics to prove it.

Nice dude. Glad my suggestion helped! That fish looks pretty chubby for a lil guy! He must be doing quite fine in the mighty raritan!

Atta boy Ken! Way to get out there enjoy the pleasant weather were having. You didn't get the SKUNK so thats all that matters. You'll get the others that eluded the lucky lure next time. Great day to be out. Cute Rainbow!!!!

Sounds like a great day to me! Exploring new areas is always cool& catchin fish in the process is even better! That's 1 more bow than I've hooked into so don't feel too bad, nice catch brother!

Note to self:
Before I go out next time to fish, PM Jigman for Intel. Fished all over the South Branch today without a bite. Once he was the learner now he is the master Even Kcritch can catch one
